New Publication in CJNSER: Democracy Promotion by Canadian Homeless Shelters

I’m really pleased about my new journal article with Anna Kopec in the Canadian Journal of Nonprofit and Social Economy Research. Homeless shelters have the potential to be sites of inclusionary democracy. Anna and I use original survey data of Canadian nonprofit homeless shelters to show that shelters are already doing some work to support democratic participation of their unhoused clients--but there's lots of room for improvement.
